Replenish Electrolytes Naturally
Although you absolutely need to be conscious of your body’s electrolyte levels while exercising – especially in the heat – commercially available sports drinks just aren’t a good choice. Rather than relying on the store-bought, chemical-laden beverages, take a little extra prep time to mix together this homemade electrolyte drink.
WATERMELON ELECTROLYTE DRINK
- 3 cups chopped watermelon preferably with seeds
- 1 cup purified water
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- pinch of Celtic sea salt
- In a blender, combine all ingredients.
- Blend until liquefied.
- Pour into a glass bottle with a lid.
- Drink right away or chill until you are ready to serve.
