Replenish Electrolytes Naturally

Although you absolutely need to be conscious of your body’s electrolyte levels while exercising – especially in the heat – commercially available sports drinks just aren’t a good choice. Rather than relying on the store-bought, chemical-laden beverages, take a little extra prep time to mix together this homemade electrolyte drink.

WATERMELON ELECTROLYTE DRINK

Ingredients

  • 3 cups chopped watermelon preferably with seeds
  • 1 cup purified water
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • pinch of Celtic sea salt

Instructions

  • In a blender, combine all ingredients.
  • Blend until liquefied.
  • Pour into a glass bottle with a lid.
  • Drink right away or chill until you are ready to serve.
