  1. can i use a nutri buillet instead of a juicer? like does it also work if you blend them?

    • Hi Alina,

There is a difference between blending and juicing. In this recipe you want to use a juicer to extract the juices from vegetables. As an alternative you can use a Nutribullet and add filtered water to the ingredients, bled it all up and strain the pulp using a cheesecloth or nut milk bag. Drink the liquid and discard the pulp.

  2. Can you please recommend a substitute for the celery in this cellulite juice? The celery flavor does not agree with me.

    • Cucumber, however celery has incredible benefits if you can get over the initial flavour.

  3. I appreciate the substitution suggestion on the grapefruit. Those on cholesteral medication cannot consume grapefruit. It negates the medication.

    • Thanks for the message John! We would never want to interfere with someone’s pre-existing conditions with what we offer, that’s why it’s always best to consult your trusted physician – as we are not doctors. Hope your summer is going well!

    • Hello Heather,
You could substitute it with Pomelo, grapefruit would be ideal for breaking down the fat tissue deposits – however, we understand the taste is not for everyone.

    • are you asking “do you recommend drinking in the morning or throughout the day?”
if so… drink anytime preferably in the morning on an empty stomach.

  4. I can’t wait to try this! What could I replace the kale with? For some reason kale repeats horribly on me!

    • Great question Laura, you can definitely substitute it with something else. Another leafy green would be great, something like collard greens, swiss chard or romaine lettuce. Hope that helps and you enjoy the refreshing juice!

  5. Hi Nikki,
I saw your article right now and I’m going to try this recipe. I have just a question if I make this juice with half of the ingredients (for instance, 1 grapefruit, 1 orange etc.) is it going to work as well? Or do I need to make the juice exactly like that?

    Thanks in advance

    Laura

    • Hi Laura!

Great question! For sure you can cut the recipe in half and see if it’s enough of a serving for you. We find that if we are getting the juicer out and gonna get it dirty – we like to make it worth while and usually make a big serving of juice. You can always put any extra juice in a glass jar (be sure to leave a little room at the top) and freeze it. This helps keep it from oxidizing and losing it’s nutrients.

Hope that helps! Let us know how you like the juice 🙂 Also, just remember you can’t really go wrong with juicing, the combination of certain things can provide specific support to various ailments, illnesses and so forth – but all fresh juice is beneficial and healthy!

    • Fresh juice every day is great! Of course, on top of that your lifestyle choices are also a large contributing factor – negative or positive. Daily movement, fresh air, nature, healthy whole plant-based foods, hydration… these are a few of the common things that help support detoxification – as well as leading a stress-free life.

  6. How often should you have this juice ? I’m just wondering as the high celery amount this can also flush out hood with the bad ?

    • Hello Leigh,

We would say a 10-12 oz glass every day (or every other day) and as your body gets more accustomed to it you can slowly increase it to 24oz.

Enjoying a glass of celery juice in the morning or in the afternoon (between meals) has a soothing and comforting effect on the body and it normalizes the body temperature, especially during hot months. As per your concern about too much celery, this juice contains a great amount of sodium – one of the important elements for eliminating carbon dioxide from the body. Deficiency of natural sodium could lead to lung issues (esp. important for people living/working in polluted environments ie.city) celery juice is also high in iron and magnesium – this combo feeds the blood and nourishes the nervous system.

These are really just a few of the amazing benefits of celery juice ;P

  7. I tried this recipe this morning after searching for a celery juice recipe. The juice turned out great! Thank you! The only thing is that it made for 24oz – a bit too much for me in one sitting. How long will this be able to save in the fridge? Hopefully today, tomorrow, and just the following day…

    • Hello Micha! So happy to hear you enjoyed the juice 🙂 Freshly made juices are best consumed within the first 15 minutes of making them. The nutrients slowly diminish due to oxidization. However we do live in a world of convenience and meal prep helps that… so to preserve any leftover juice – store it in a dark glass bottle with a tight lid in the fridge for up to 3 days. Just to note, if you are using the juice as a meal (say for breakfast) – 24oz is an ideal amount.
