In our daily lives, we mostly focus on eating, very little or no attention goes on eliminating the waste properly, until and unless we face a health issue. Have you ever thought about what happens when the sewage system in our body is blocked? What impact does it have on you other than discomfort?
If your diet includes processed carbohydrates, meat, dairy, eggs and cooked foods, (pretty much the standard foods eaten in most homes and served in restaurants), the health of your colon is highly compromised. Over time, these foods leave a coating on the inner walls of the colon like plaster on the wall. Eventually, this coating will increase its thickness until there is only a small hole through the centre. A starved colon may let a lot of fecal matter pass through it, but it is unable to fully nourish the body and this often leads to nutritional deficiencies and other more serious health complications. Unfortunately, many people are unaware of any blockage in the colon as they are still able to have their regular bowel movements. But just because we go to the bathroom daily doesn’t mean much. If the fecal matter contains undigested food you might be chronically constipated. Build a juice cleanse plan to keep healthy and fit.
The better-known constipation is the kind that slows down or stops bowel movements. It’s such a common problem that advertisements for laxatives made it to mainstream media promising ‘an easy way to relieve occasional constipation’. Yet, no chemical laxative will fix an unhealthy colon and can further exacerbate the problem. If we ignore the health of our colon long enough, the retention of waste matter will lead to toxicity in the body. And that’s where the real trouble begins. These toxins can manifest into headaches, migraines, gas, appendicitis, heart problems and cancer – just to name a very few. When we learn to eat foods and live a lifestyle that will not only help digest our food properly but also eliminate all waste matter in a timely fashion, it will allow us to live a life full of vitality.
JUICE FOR CONSTIPATION RELIEF
- 1 large bunch of watercress
- 1/2 pineapple peeled and cut into chunks
- 8 celery stalks
- small piece of ginger
- Wash all produce well.
- Peel the ginger (optional or use organic, scrub well with the added peel nutrients).
- Add all ingredients through juicer and enjoy!
